Ketorolac tromethamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and acts primarily as a peripherally acting analgesic. It is highly protein-bound in plasma and is extensively metabolized in the liver.
The metabolites, along with a small amount of unchanged drug, are predominantly excreted through the urine.
