Combined preparation relieves all types of coughs, chest congestion, decongestion, and a sore throat. Dextromethorphan is a safe, effective antitussive agent that acts centrally on the cough center in the medulla. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that helps loosen mucus (phlegm) in the lungs and make it easier to cough up. Levomenthol, which helps breathe more easily by relieving congestion, also relieves a sore throat.
